Vikings Games to be on “Viks Radio!”

The Portland State University Vikings Hockey Club is proud to announce that all remaining games in the 2007-2008 season will be broadcasted through the website (www.psuvikingshockey.com). The broadcast will be engineered by BWL Media LLC, who also represents the club in sponsorship advertising. The first broadcast will be this Friday when the Vikings face the Vikings of Western Washington.
The play-by-play broadcaster will be Stephen ‘Skip’ Berry. Working with Skip will be Jerry Zsenyuk and David Smith doing color-commentary. Skip and Jerry will travel to Arizona State University to broadcast the match up between the Vikings and Sun Devils in December, which will allow Vikings fans to listen to the games worldwide.
Some of the features that will be on Viks Radio include:
- 30 minute Pre-Game Show
- Coaches Corner
- Three Key’s to Victory
- Hot Topic Intermission Shows
- 30 minute Post-Game Show
- E-mail the Broadcast Booth (viksradio@psuvikingshockey.com)
- Three Stars of the Game
- Player Interviews from both teams
Vikings broadcast will be archived so fans can go back and listen to the games when it is convenient. The games will be loaded within 24 hours after the conclusion of the game and will be accessed through the Broadcast “Schedule” page.
Sponsors will be able to buy advertising packages for the broadcast to help fund the Vikings Hockey Club. There are many opportunities for sponsors to associate their name with Viks Radio and Vikings hockey with 15, 30 and 60 second commercials, tag phrases (ie. “Pepsi Scoreboard”), and other creative ideas.
