Vikings Take 2nd Game from UW 7-3
October, 17th 2009 The Portland State Vikings hockey team won the second game of the series against the University of Washington Huskies 7-3 Saturday night at Olympicview Ice Arena in Seattle. Hunter Levengood lead the Vikings' offense with a hattrick. The Huskies took a quick 2 goal lead 4 minutes into the first, but Anthony Libonati and Tucker Doughtery both scored to tie the game. Hunter Levengood then scored two goals 2 minutes apart to put the Viks in the lead for the rest of the game. The Viks had 58 shots on the Huskies. Goalie Ryan Stanchfield stopped 23 shots for the Vikings. PSU will nextface Western Washington University Friday and Saturday at Valley Ice Arena in Beaverton. Both games start at 7pm. |
